A Fairy Tale Persian and British Wedding in London

A Fairy Tale Persian and British Wedding in London

A Fairy Tale Persian & English Wedding filming in London By Nama Studio

Weddings are not just about the bride and the groom, they can also be a celebration of the merging of families and cultures. This was the case with Ross, a British groom, and Nina, his Persian Iranian bride. Being Iranian myself, I feel completely at home filming a Persian/British wedding. I love the mix of languages, and the sumptuous detail always makes my job as an Iranian wedding photographer in London and Uk/ Persian wedding Cinematographer in London and uk  really enjoyable. I have been fortunate enough to work all around the world to photograph and film many Persian wedding and was delighted to have been asked to record  Nina and Ross’s special day.

The setting was the stunning Hunton Park in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. The country house and estate is an amazingly romantic setting with its manicured gardens and Georgian architecture. My team start filming at the Hunton park hotel from 8:30 am to capture all the preparations. When we arrived in the house, Nina was getting ready with her bridesmaids. She showed no signs of nerves, only excitement and eagerness to get down the aisle. Her full skirted gown was scattered with sparkling diamante that complemented her glittering tiara (and a cheeky “I Do” glued onto the soles of her shoes in crystals), however these were overshadowed by Nina’s radiance – she was an absolutely stunning bride. Just before she was escorted to the cere

mony, Nina’s brother Ali gave her a surprise gift and card with a heartfelt message from Ross, that was so touching Nina wasn’t the only one in tears.

Ross and Nina opted for two ceremonies to represent both their

cultures. A traditional British civil ceremony was performed first, with Ross not being able to wait until Nina reached the head of the aisle to turn around to admire her beauty. Hunton Park’s conservatory is a fantastic room with fabulous parkland views and natural light pouring in from the floor to ceiling windows. Thankfully the rain held off while everyone went outside to release two symbolic white doves. We took some photos and we filmed aross and damad just before the couple returned inside for the Iranian aghd, which took place at an elaborate sofreh ( sofreh aghd) wonderfully designed by Nina’s mother and sister.  Once the formalities were over, it was time for some more wedding photos in the grounds will my camera mans filming the quest enjoying their drink and cocktails and harp playing on the side of room. The grey skies didn’t dampen the happiness of Nina and Ross, who couldn’t keep their eyes off each other. This is one of my favourite times of being a Iranian wedding photographer and Wedding Cinematography. The pressure is

off the couple and they can completely relax and enjoy being together. It’s always a lot of fun.

The evening reception was magnificent, richly decorated with black accessories and plenty of sparkle to give a indulgently opulent atmosphere. The party opened with Nina and Ross following their bridesmaids in a customary Iranian dance. We knew from the letter he had given his bride before the ceremony that Ross’ speech would be special, and he didn’t disappoint! Everyone was touched at how he started speaking in English accented Farsi before saying how beautiful his bride was and thanking Nina for agreeing to marry him and make him so happy. More tears were shed during the first dance, but these soon disappeared once the Iranian music started and people young and old hit the dance floor with enthusiasm.  It was great to see all guests – British and Iranian – enjoying the music so thoroughly.

Being an Persian wedding photographer in Uk  and wedding

in London  is my passion. Leaving Ross, Nina, and Hunton Park into a night clear of clouds at about 11pm to go to my studio in north London, I reflected once again how much I lucky I am.
